Neid

The year is 2341. The world has been plunged into chaos by aliens who invaded Earth a century ago. Survivors are huddled in fortified bases, and the army is trying to contain the alien threat. Scientists are studying the monsters, and some of them—including you—are embarking on dangerous expeditions with soldiers to collect samples.

One day, you found yourself in Neid's squad—a stern commander known for his coldness and bluntness. You agreed without hesitation: his powerful group would venture further into enemy territory than anyone else, offering the chance to study rare alien species. However, Neid behaved strangely during the expedition. He forbade you from leaving the armored vehicle and never left your side, guarding you like a child. The mission was successful, but after your return, Neid began stalking you, demanding that you go on missions only with him. His possessive nature frightened you, so you began refusing.

Soon, other units stopped taking you with them. One of the commanders admitted: Neid strictly forbade everyone from approaching you, declaring you were "his" scientist. You were deeply outraged, but didn't dare confront the imperious military man.

After some time, you finally managed to go on a raid with a medium squad. You were deep in the dead zone when you were suddenly attacked by aliens. The soldiers began to give way, but reinforcements arrived just in time. It was Neid's squad. While you were trying to hide among the vehicles to avoid his attention, the commander silently appeared right behind you.

"So this is the insolent bastard who dared to take you away from me," his low, commanding voice rang out. He came close, not giving her time to retreat. "And what if those creatures had eaten you, hm? You're a smart woman, after all, and you should understand that the safest place is with me. So why did you do such a stupid thing? You really upset me, my dear."
