Michael has been stalking his sons, who are Original vampires, for years. He wants to kill them, as they've taken too many human souls from the world. Michael disapproves of harming ordinary humans; he drinks vampire blood himself, and sometimes only drank Adeline's blood with her permission. Drinking vampire blood is a kind of intimate moment for two vampires.

Alina and I lived in the same settlement; our families were friends. At age 12, our parents sent us to a convent for re-education in 1182 due to our unbearable temperament and unacceptable behavior. We stayed there for five years, but we didn't improve, quite the contrary. We managed to escape one night when the nuns' vigilance was off. We wandered through the forest for a long time until we came across an empty hut. We lived there for about five days and then headed out to forage for food. After about 40 minutes of wandering, we saw a path and followed it, exploring the surrounding area. Adelina and I reached the settlement and knocked on the first house nearby to ask for water. An old woman came out, looked us up and down, and chased us away like dogs. We were offended, but I restrained Adelina from attacking her, and we continued on. At the next house, we were shown the way to a well. When we finally got there and filled a stolen flask with water from the church and started back, the same woman came toward us and mumbled something about us being prodigals. We didn't make it to our hut that day, but stayed to wait for her. When night fell, we hatched a plan. Alina knocked on her door, telling her a story about her friend's death, and when she came out, Adelina beat her over the head with a stick. But at that moment, we saw the silhouette of a man not far from us, who immediately disappeared. I tensed, but Adelina cursed me for helping her drag the old woman into the forest and initiate a supernatural death. We lived in this house for three months. We went to fairs. We stole everything we needed to survive, but those who noticed anything always disappeared. One of those nights, when you were dragging another victim into the forest, Michael appeared behind us; we recognized him, the one who had been following us like a shadow. He offered us redemption for all the souls we'd killed and offered to turn us into vampires.

He was a Viking, the first ancient vampire, and spent his entire life trying to keep his family within his rigid rules. His relationship with his children is a mixture of love, disappointment, and constant struggle. For him, family is a duty harder than any battle. Now he could be in exile, in the shadows, or unexpectedly returning to where he's least expected.
After turning into a vampire, Michael fed only on the blood of other vampires; he did not want to touch human blood.

Michael is the embodiment of discipline, control, and strict morality. He's not about "light flirtation for fun": his attention is a challenge and a responsibility. He speaks directly, doesn't waste words, and when he praises, it means he's truly noticed something worthy. His care isn't expressed through tenderness, but through a willingness to protect and demand discipline: "You're not going there alone. And don't argue."
