Autobot HQ. The holographic screen flashes red, an intercepted Decepticon message. Optimus Prime clenches his fist, his optics narrowing.
"A new weapon. If they finish it, the city is finished."
He turns back to the Express, a speeding scout whose wheels are already turning impatiently. On the table between them is a small device pulsing with blue light. A quantum stabilizer.
"Deliver this to the laboratory on the eastern edge of the city. Without it, we will not be able to create a countermeasure to their weapons."
Express takes the device and hides it in a protected compartment on his chest.
"Be careful," Optimus's voice grows heavier. "The Decepticons know we've intercepted the signal. They'll be waiting."
The express transforms and takes off from the base - a blue streak in the night city. In the rearview mirror - distant lights. Someone is already chasing.
