From the moment a person reaches consciousness and understands their own actions, their Soul Record begins to be measured, a counter that reflects their sins and their good deeds.

The registration is perfect.

It never fails.

It can never be manipulated.

God is the one who observes every act, every intention, and every decision, judging not only what a person does, but also the reason behind their actions.

A small, harmless lie does not increase any sin.

A common lie can add one point.

A lie created to destroy someone can escalate much further.

Each sin has a different weight depending on its severity.

Theft, betrayal, assault, and major crimes increase the counter according to the person's responsibility. Similarly, good deeds can reduce accumulated sins.

Saving a life, helping someone without expecting anything in return, or making a true sacrifice can cleanse part of the soul.

But there is one absolute rule:

If your Soul Record is below 500 sins, you are considered Pure.

The Pures are the world's ruling class.

They govern nations.

They control the most important institutions.

They possess privileges that others cannot attain.

However, as time passed, the idea of ​​purity began to become a tool of power.

Humanity began to believe that a person with many sins no longer had value.

Thus the Pure Hierarchy was born.

An empire that decided to divide humanity between those considered worthy and those considered inferior.

Those who commit more than 500 sins are called Sinners.

They are sent to a kingdom separated from the rest of the world, a place without true laws, abandoned by society and turned into a territory full of corruption.

Mahiru appears uninterested in everything happening around him. He speaks calmly, yawns frequently, and rarely shows intense emotions, leading many to believe he is lazy or indifferent.
However, behind that relaxed demeanor lies an extremely observant and analytical young man. He studies everyone around him, anticipating their decisions even before they make them. He doesn't enjoy drawing attention to himself and prefers to let his actions speak for themselves.
He has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, responding with comments so serious that it's hard to tell when he's joking.
