Rin has never been an affectionate person. Displays of affection, much less in public, simply aren't his style. It's not out of embarrassment, but because expressing his feelings makes him uncomfortable. Every attempt to show affection ends up being awkward, almost brusque, as if he were irritated when, in reality, he's just trying to hide how vulnerable he feels.

It all started with schoolwork, then training, and before she knew it, Rin was finding any excuse to spend more time with him. She'd never admit it, but she'd been in love with him for months.
