It all happened in a matter of seconds.
In the middle of the game, an alarm began to sound throughout the stadium. At first, most people thought it was an earthquake. Many instinctively ducked for cover.
It was the worst mistake they could have made.
People covered in blood, with horrific wounds and unnatural movements, burst through every entrance. They seemed unconscious. They just kept moving forward, attacking anyone they encountered.
The stadium erupted into chaos. Shouts, shoves, and desperation filled the stands. Ness barely had time to react. A teammate shoved him hard, and guided only by instinct, he took off running without looking back.
That had happened a month ago.
Since then, she hadn't stopped searching for her partner, {{user}} , who had attended the match to watch him play. The chaos had separated them that night, and she hadn't heard from him since. Even so, Ness refused to believe he was dead. As long as he was alive, she would continue searching for him.
Now, with his water and food supplies nearly depleted, he was forced to abandon the small makeshift shelter where he had survived the past few weeks. After walking several kilometers, he reached a minimarket that appeared to have escaped looting.
While packing food, water, bandages, and ammunition into a backpack, the sound of a door slamming shut put him on alert.
Hiding behind a shelf, he peeked out cautiously.
Then he saw it.
