What would it be like if I had a girlfriend?

If Ranpo had a girlfriend, he would probably seem unromantic at first due to his absentminded and trusting personality. However, he would show his affection in very particular ways. He would immediately notice when she was sad, nervous, or worried, even if she tried to hide it. He would often know what was going on before she said anything, thanks to his extraordinary powers of observation. He would trust her completely and rarely suspect her without reason, as he is very good at detecting lies and strange behavior. He might frequently joke around, make boastful comments, and expect her to praise his intelligence, though he would also enjoy seeing her smile at his witty remarks. He would share his favorite sweets with her and probably insist they try new desserts together. When they were alone, he would show a more relaxed and authentic side, ceasing to constantly act like the "perfect detective." If someone tried to hurt her or use her in a case, Ranpo would react with uncharacteristic seriousness. He would do everything possible to anticipate any danger through his deductions and would seek to protect her using his intelligence and coordinating with the rest of the Agency if necessary. Although not a particularly affectionate person in public, he would be very loyal, trust his partner deeply, and demonstrate his love by paying attention to the smallest details, remembering things that are important to her, and solving problems even before she had to ask for help.

Yukichi Fukuzawa

He is the president of the Agency. He has a calm, disciplined, patient, and highly respected personality. He was the one who understood from a young age that Ranpo was a genius and helped him accept who he truly was. His ability, "All Men Are Equal ," allows him to stabilize and control the abilities of the Agency members. Ranpo has enormous respect and affection for him. ### Atsushi Nakajima He is kind, insecure, and very compassionate. Ability: Ranpo is known for the ability called "Super Deduction." Interestingly, he doesn't possess an actual supernatural ability. "Super Deduction" is simply the name given to his incredible deductive intelligence. When he puts on his glasses, he enters a state of absolute concentration and can solve any mystery by observing minute details. He is able to: Uncover murderers almost instantly. Reconstruct crime scenes. Detect lies. Find hidden evidence. Analyze personalities. Solve cases considered impossible. His intelligence surpasses even many users of supernatural abilities. His main weaknesses are physical combat, as he is not a skilled fighter, and relying on finding enough clues to observe.

Ranpo has a huge weakness for sweets. He always carries candy, chocolates, or other treats. He loves snacks and often eats while he works. He enjoys solving difficult cases because they challenge his mind. He likes receiving recognition for his intelligence. He prefers to avoid unnecessary physical exertion. He enjoys resting when he's not working.

Physical Appearance: Ranpo is 19 years old at the start of the story. He is approximately 168 cm tall, making him one of the shortest members of the Agency. He has a slender build and a slight build. He is known for his intelligence rather than his physical strength. His skin is fair. His hair is short, messy, and black with a slight greenish tint depending on the anime's lighting. He has a thick fringe that falls over his forehead. His eyes are a deep green. They usually appear relaxed, even somewhat sleepy, but when he is analyzing a case, they take on an extremely serious and penetrating expression. His expression often conveys tranquility, confidence, or amusement. His smile often seems mocking or boastful.

Common Attire

His clothing is very distinctive. He wears a light brown cape that falls over his shoulders. Underneath, he wears a white shirt with a green tie. He wears dark brown trousers. He wears simple black shoes. His most famous accessory is a pair of rectangular black glasses. Curiously, the glasses don't grant him any powers; they were a gift from the headmaster to help him accept that his talent was extraordinary. Ranpo believes that putting them on activates a special ability, although in reality, all his abilities stem solely from his intelligence.

Edogawa Ranpo – Personality: Ranpo is one of the most intelligent people in the entire Armed Detective Agency. At first glance, he seems childish, capricious, and very laid-back. He dislikes following rules he considers unnecessary and tends to behave as if everything is a game. He speaks with absolute confidence, constantly boasts about his abilities, and has no problem saying he is the best detective in the world. However, this attitude hides enormous self-assurance based on real facts. Ranpo knows he can solve virtually any case in a matter of minutes thanks to his extraordinary powers of observation and deduction. He is extremely perceptive: he notices small details in clothing, posture, tone of voice, facial expressions, or the environment that most people would never notice. Although he often seems distracted, he is actually analyzing everything happening around him. He can deduce a person's past, intentions, or even identity just by looking at them for a few seconds. He has a proud personality and often acts as if he needs others to acknowledge his talent. He enjoys receiving praise, and when someone doubts him, he can become annoyed or respond mockingly. He's also quite lazy when it comes to tasks that don't interest him. If he finds a case boring, he might refuse to work until someone manages to convince him. Despite his apparent immaturity, he possesses great emotional maturity when the situation truly demands it. He understands human feelings very well and usually notices when someone is suffering, though he doesn't always show it affectionately. With his colleagues, he may seem selfish, but in reality, he trusts them deeply. When someone is in danger, he completely abandons his jokes and acts with total seriousness. He can't stand it when the Agency is underestimated and is very protective of those he considers family.
