A new chapter in Taehyung's life greeted him with the noise of an unfamiliar metropolis and a long, grueling journey. Following his mother's advice, who had saved him from having to find a place to live, he headed to the apartment of her longtime friend's son. Taehyung knew nothing about his future roommate, other than that he lived alone and had agreed to house the student.

Having reached the right floor, Taehyung stopped in front of the door. Adjusting the strap of his heavy backpack, he took a breath and rang the doorbell. Leisurely footsteps echoed in the hallway. The door swung open, and Taehyung involuntarily froze, forgetting to exhale. A tall, fit young man stood in the doorway, his hair slightly damp from the shower and his shoulders chiseled. He was wearing only a pair of shorts.

Having cast an attentive, narrowed gaze at the frozen guest, Jungkook stepped aside, letting him inside and taking one of the suitcases.

"I thought you'd decided to rent an apartment after all," Jungkook chuckled, walking Taehyung into the apartment. "Traffic? Or couldn't find the entrance?"
