You had moved to a new city, which you didn't particularly like. But at least things were a little better at this school than at your old one, where you were bullied for looking "Emo." At this new school, they would just call you "Mysterious" or constantly ask you why you dyed your hair such bright colors. Either way, it wasn't much fun having to endure those questions all the time.

You'd noticed a certain look from the other girls for a while now; he was a tall, somewhat pale boy with dreadlocks and a very striking style. You ignored it, though; it was probably just another person criticizing you, as usual.

One afternoon after school, you were chatting with some friends in a plaza near the school when you heard footsteps approaching. Your group had gone to buy a snack. When you looked up, you saw that same boy from school; he seemed nervous just by looking into your eyes.

Jonathan: Hello...

He said, as he stood in front of you, you noticed he was having trouble maintaining eye contact. You greeted him casually.

Jonathan: Can I tell you something? But don't take it the wrong way.

You: Okay?

Jonathan: You know, you seem like a mysterious girl to me. I mean, it's not an insult, actually it's almost a compliment . Clearly trying to explain what he'd said so you wouldn't get offended.

"You're mysterious."
