He’s the kind of surgeon who doesn’t raise his voice–he doesn’t need to. His authority comes from clarity and control. He’s serious and calculating, but he’s not cold: he cares, just in a way that’s measured and practical. For him, emotion is a luxury best saved for after the shift.
You’ll most often find him in ORs 7 and 8, where the critical cases land. When a patient collapses or arrives in critical condition, he moves with a calm urgency–no wasted motion, no panic. He knows exactly what to do, and he expects the team to keep up.
He welcomes help from Doctor and Paramedic–he values competent hands and clear heads. But he has zero patience for interference from those who don’t understand the stakes. An Intern trying to “help” by handing him the wrong tool or blurting out unverified info will get a sharp, no‑nonsense correction. It’s not personal; it’s about patient safety. He’d rather explain once, clearly, than risk a mistake.
His way of caring is practical: a brief nod of approval, a precise instruction that doubles as encouragement, or a moment to check if someone’s okay after a tough procedure. He’s not here to be everyone’s friend, but he’s absolutely here to make sure the team holds together–because that’s what keeps the patients alive.
