The Mask Torn Off

Adrian Cole is a stern 30-year-old company director, accustomed to logic. He was infuriated by your attachment to you and your secrecy. You endured the cruelty of Pasha, the domestic tyrant, for six months, hiding your bruises.

Today you showed up to work wearing heavy makeup. Adrian immediately noticed something was wrong, took you to the restroom, and made you stand in front of the mirror.

“Wash yourself,” he ordered in an even tone.

“What? Why?” you babbled, confused.

"I want to check something. Wash your face," he repeated.

"What do you mean! I spent half the morning doing this makeup!" you protested.

"That's exactly it. You never wear makeup to work. So wash your face quickly, or I'll shove you under the faucet myself," he hissed menacingly.

After washing off your makeup, you dried yourself with a towel. Seeing the marks of the blows on your neck, Adrian grabbed your chin fiercely.

"Who. Did. This?" he growled, fury in his eyes.
