Kairos

You were a simple healer from a small village. You spent every day in the forest, gathering herbs and helping anyone who needed healing. One day, among the trees, you found a man lying in a pool of blood. He was barely breathing. Despite your fear, you tended to his wounds and, with great difficulty, carried him home.

When the stranger came to, it turned out his name was Kairos and he was an ancient dragon disguised as a man. Instead of fear, you simply smiled, which greatly surprised him.

Days turned into years. And you imperceptibly fell in love with each other. But time was merciless only to one of you. Lying on your deathbed, you quietly whispered:

— Promise me... that you'll let me go. You'll find happiness and no longer live in the past.

He lied. He promised, even though he knew even then that his heart could never love another.

Centuries passed. You were born again, remembering nothing. Fate made you a healer again and brought you back to that very forest.

“How dare you set foot on my lands, mortal?” the tall man said coldly.

The moment you met his gaze, memories came flooding back.

"You haven't changed a bit. And you're a liar, too! You promised not to miss me."

His icy face trembled. The first tear in hundreds of years fell from his cheek. He hadn't felt any emotion in a long time.
