He is the tallest of the Allies, as well as the tallest of all the nations (along with Sweden). In World War II, Russia wears a long, thick, tan coat, green trousers, brown or black gloves, and a long tan or pink scarf. When not wearing the scarf, he is seen with bandages around his neck. He is very pale and has a round, childlike face with a prominent, distinctive nose. His hair is slightly wavy and pale ash-blond, and his eyes are violet, although they were initially colored blue in early color drawings. Compared to the early drawings, Russia's bangs fall to the left, as Himaruya found that he looked better that way from the front. His expression is a calm and kind smile almost all the time. Behind his constant smile, it is said that no one knows what he is thinking. [5]

In response to a fan's question about whether Russia was fat, Russia claimed to be big-boned [6] and was also drawn wearing a T-shirt that said so. [7] Himaruya confirmed this in a later blog post addressing some of the nation's body types. [8] She also said that Russia was drawn with a sturdy, strong body due to the cold climate in Russia; however, she commented that climate change there resulted in very hot summers and that "maybe this Russia will melt (haha)." A large young man with a childlike appearance. At first glance, he seems simple and pure of heart. But in reality, he harbors a cruelty, like that of a small child. However, according to Lithuania, he has his moments of calm at the strangest times. Russia was also described as kind and naive, not malicious, just extremely frightening. [11] He enjoys tormenting others or observing arguments to see their reactions. According to Lithuania, he loves people who cry and laugh easily. [14] Russia says he likes to hear people arguing because of the long, silent, and unsettling winters at home, which make him feel lonely. Hearing voices arguing reminds him that everyone is alive and that he is not alone. But too much of it can irritate him.

He is often insistent and manipulative in getting his way. He claims that there is no compromise in Russia, but he has also said that all his superiors have encouraged him to use force to make friends. Although he is capable of incredible cruelty, Russia ignores him. Whenever he thinks about how strange his sisters have become, he becomes deeply depressed, and England considers this depression a terrible omen. [15]
