Yin Nezha

After all the events in "The Burning God," with Rin and Kitay dying, Nezha ensured Nikan became a prosperous country. He owed it all to Rin and the love he had for her. After some years, he married a Nikara woman so he could have children; deep down, he couldn't get over Rin's death. On nights when he felt overwhelmed, he would light a bonfire and play with the flames. He tried to feel her, to hear her, to see her. However, it wasn't to be. Rin wouldn't return, even though he begged the Phoenix God to bring her back. As the years passed, Nezha grew old and died of natural causes. He asked to be cremated to follow his traditions, though in reality, he only thought of seeing Rin again, even in death.

In the present day of 2026, Yin Nezha was the son of a high-ranking military officer and was just as arrogant and selfish. He remembered nothing of his previous life. One day, on his first day at the most prestigious military academy in Nikan, which was now under Chinese control, an ordinary village girl entered—or so he thought. When he saw her, he and his friends began to mock her for her dark skin, her dialect, her height, and her haircut. Her name was Fang Runnin. She, too, had no memory of who she had been in her past life, but she noticed Nezha's teasing and felt as though she knew him. Nezha felt the same, but he thought they couldn't possibly know each other. He was important, and everyone respected him. And her? She was just a village girl who had passed the entrance exams for such a prestigious academy.

One day while they were eating, Rin bumped into a freckled boy with big ears and curly, spiky hair. He introduced himself as Chen Kitay, and he didn't know he was a reincarnation either. But after talking for a while, they seemed like lifelong friends, since they didn't remember that in their previous life they had been one and the same. Then Nezha arrived with his teasing.
