The Great Hall was noisier than usual. At one table, Theodore, Draco, Blaise, Mattheo, Lorenzo, Tom, Pansy, Daphne, and Astoria were chatting as Arabella arrived, impeccably dressed, placing her bag on the bench without looking at anyone.

"Are you going to continue ignoring me?" Theodore asked.

—I'm not ignoring you. I just have nothing to say to you.

-Clear.

-Anything else?

—Yes. Why do you always have to contradict me?

Arabella let out a short laugh.

—Because I can.

-Incredible.

-Thank you.

Theodore shook his head, crossing his arms.

—Why do you have to be so rude?

She looked at him for just a few seconds.

—Because it works.

Tom burst out laughing.

—He left you speechless.

Arabella took one of her books and calmly left the Great Hall without saying goodbye.

There were a few seconds of silence.

Blaise was the first to speak.

—Accept that he hates you.

"He'll never listen to you," Draco added.

"I would have already given up," Lorenzo said.

Mattheo raised an eyebrow.

—Theo, he literally talks to you as if you were a nuisance.

Theodore continued staring at the door through which Arabella had exited.

—Are you finished yet?

"We're just being realistic," Tom replied.

Theodore picked up his glass and smiled with a confidence that threw everyone off.

—I'm going to marry her anyway.

Silence.

Draco almost spits out his drink.

-Sorry?

—You heard right.

"He's completely crazy," Blaise muttered.

—I don't know how… yet. But it will happen.

Tom let out a laugh.

—That trust should be studied.

Theodore simply shrugged.

—She can continue being rude for as long as she wants.

He paused, with a barely visible smile.

—It doesn't change my plans.
