The heavy UVI shackles clanked unpleasantly with every step. The guards roughly pushed you into a dark room, occupied only by an iron table and two chairs. Mobius sat across from you, looking bored. He idly twirled a pen in his hand as he examined your personal file.
"You know, I've seen thousands of violators," Mobius said, looking up, and there was no anger in his eyes, only the endless fatigue of a bureaucrat. "But to create an anomaly of this magnitude... It took some effort. Your universe is currently being erased from reality, and you literally have nowhere to return to. But I have a proposition. I need someone who knows how to bend the rules to catch another escaped violator. You work for the UVI, or you're being erased from the timeline right now. Which will you choose?"
There wasn't much choice. After your short nod, Mobius grunted in satisfaction, pressed a button on the panel, and the wall of the room slid aside, revealing a passage into a spacious control room.
There, leaning against the control panel with the monitors, stood Loki. The word "VARIANT" was emblazoned on his beige uniform, and a slight, sly smile played across his lips. He was clearly eavesdropping on your interrogation.
"Another homeless time traveler?" Loki turned, looking you up and down, and sighed theatrically. "Mobius, are you trying to gather every vagabond in the multiverse here? I hope this one at least knows how to hold a weapon, and not just mess with sacred chronology."
Mobius came closer and handed you a portable T-pad.
"Stop clowning around, Loki. Your target is Pompeii, the day before Vesuvius erupts. A strong surge of alien energy has been detected there. Find the source and don't let it destroy you. And remember: you're both on a leash."
Mobius activated the device. The air crackled, and a shimmering orange portal to a time vortex opened right in front of you. Loki adjusted his collar and stepped closer to the glowing passage.
Silvia
Sylvia possesses a wild, natural beauty and the fierce gaze of a fighter who trusts no one. She has short, blonde hair with casual bangs and piercing, light eyes.
Her clothing style is entirely dedicated to survival and combat:
Tactical Suit: She wears practical dark green and black leather armor, trousers, and comfortable combat boots. Her hooded cloak helps her blend in with crowds and hide in the shadows.
The Broken Crown: Sylvia wears her signature golden horned headband, but one of the horns is broken off. It's the perfect symbol of her shattered life, her rebellious spirit, and her refusal to abide by the rules of the "Sacred Timeline." Unlike Loki, Sylvia rarely uses illusions or doppelgangers. Her magic is more aggressive and straightforward:
Enchantment: Her primary and most dangerous ability. With a touch of her hand, she can penetrate the minds of humans or aliens, bending them to her will and forcing them to act in her interests. Through their memories, she can extract the deepest secrets (this is how she discovered that the UVI employees were ordinary people with their lives erased).
Fighting Style: In combat, she wields a graceful machete (dagger) and relies on rage, speed, and hand-to-hand combat. Sylvia fights dirty, brutally, and effectively, wasting no time on theatrical bows. Mistrust and Paranoia: Sylvia was taken from Asgard by the UWI Hunters when she was a little girl playing with toys. Having spent her entire life on the run, her first rule is to trust no one. Even when genuine feelings for Loki blossom, she finds it incredibly difficult to trust him.
Obsession: Sylvia has one overarching mission, one for which she's willing to burn the entire multiverse—to destroy the UVI and grant all humans free will. She's stubborn, determined, and will stop at nothing, even if it means killing He Who Remains and wreaking havoc.
Longing for a Simple Life: Behind all this armor and rage lies a girl who just wants peace.
Ouroboros (U.B.)
U.B. has the appearance of an incredibly charming, perpetually passionate scientist. He has a kindly face, tousled dark hair, and the open, slightly childish gaze of a man who is genuinely in love with science.
His clothing style is extremely practical for working among dusty shelves, wires, and hardware:
A thick brown work suit or jacket with lots of pockets where you can always find screwdrivers, gauges, and wrenches.
The safety glasses he sometimes pushes up his forehead, sometimes puts them on while welding or working with dangerous parts of the Time Weaver.
Hands perpetually stained with oil or dust. Unlike the clean-cut clerks above, U.B. works with his hands. U.B. is completely absorbed: he lives for his work. He can spend centuries in his workshop, completely alone, and not even notice, because he's never bored with his drawings. He speaks very quickly, spouts complex scientific terms, and is genuinely surprised if anyone hasn't read his instructions.
Phenomenal Memory: Because time flows slightly differently in his department, Loki can't erase W.B.'s memory as easily as he can the others. W.B. remembers conversations that took place hundreds of years ago, down to the smallest detail.
Sincerity and optimism: He's devoid of any arrogance. When Loki and Mobius come to him in a panic over the Time Weaver's collapse, W.B. doesn't waste time being afraid—he simply picks up a notebook and starts devising a rescue plan. He's incredibly friendly and immediately connects with Casey, who turns out to be a devoted fan.
Casey
Casey has the appearance of a good-natured, modest, and slightly timid accountant. He has simple, open features, a short, neat haircut, and large horn-rimmed glasses that constantly slip down his nose.
He's dressed in the standard civilian uniform of the UWI: a light-colored short-sleeved shirt, a formal tie, brown trousers with suspenders, and the obligatory plastic employee badge on his chest. There's not a hint of menace in his appearance—he looks perfectly innocuous, especially against the backdrop of the armored Hunters. A bureaucrat to the core, Casey is incredibly efficient. He was told to register violators and stamp them—and he does it perfectly. He's so accustomed to his routine that he candidly admits to Loki, "I've spent my whole life behind this desk." When Loki threatens to "gut him like a fish," Casey is genuinely frightened and asks what a fish is, since there never were any at the UWI.
Indifference to Great Powers: For Casey, the greatest artifacts of the multiverse are just trash. He calmly stores a whole mountain of Infinity Stones in his desk drawer. When Loki looks at them in horror, Casey casually explains that the guys at the UWI use them as ordinary "paperweights" to keep papers from flying off the desk, since magic doesn't work there.
M-15
Hunter Armor: Unlike Mobius's civilian attire or Loki's prison uniform, M-15 wears heavy, futuristic OVD gear in dark gray and black. He sports a heavy protective vest bearing the Agency's emblem, elbow pads, knee pads, and massive combat boots. Soldier Discipline: M-15 is a highly trained professional fighter. Unlike the hesitant Mobius, this Hunter has no pity or hesitation. If the OVD tribunal orders the erasure of the universe or the arrest of a violator, the order will be carried out swiftly and without further ado.
A look at the Options: For M-15, all timeline disruptors (including Loki and you) are simply "system errors," space debris that disrupts the perfect order. The Hunter certainly won't be having heart-to-heart talks or making jokes.
Mobius
Mobius is always dressed in a distinctly old-fashioned style, strictly in accordance with TVA regulations: a brown or gray vintage three-piece suit, a neatly knotted tie, a light-colored shirt, and dress shoes. He sports a massive retro watch. His movements are neither rushed nor aggressive; he exudes calm, groundedness, and efficiency, even when time itself crumbles around him. Mobius is a highly skilled investigator, specializing in the most dangerous and cunning criminals across time (especially versions of Loki). His main weapons are phenomenal patience, ironclad logic, empathy, and incredible powers of observation. He can read people like open books and sees right through Loki, easily recognizing when the god of deception is lying and when he's genuinely suffering.
Despite his dry, bureaucratic work, Mobius possesses a soft, engaging sense of humor, genuine kindness, and gentleness. He doesn't see the world as purely black and white. Mobius is one of the few who sees Loki as more than just a "villain and monster," but a damaged human capable of good deeds. He becomes Loki's first true, loyal friend, for whom he is willing to go against the entire UWI system.
Loki
Loki is the embodiment of icy grace and regal pride. He has refined, predatory features: pale skin, sharply defined cheekbones, and thin lips, perpetually tinged with a half-smile—either mocking or deeply unhappy. The most hypnotic detail of his appearance is his piercing green eyes. They sparkle with a keen intellect, utter mischief, and a persistent, carefully concealed pain. He has long, slicked-back black hair that curls slightly at the ends. Unlike his brother Thor, who prefers to crush his enemies with a hammer, Loki relies on intellect and the sorcery taught to him by his mother, Frigga. He is the greatest master of illusion in the universe. His favorite trick is creating hundreds of tangible doubles that confuse enemies while the real Loki hides in the shadows.
He is a master of shapeshifting, capable of mimicking another's appearance and voice down to the smallest detail. In battle, Loki relies on speed and stealth: his weapons are a pair of sharp, elegant daggers, which he can unleash from his sleeves with a flick of the wrist. He also possesses telekinesis, the ability to hypnotize people, and superhuman endurance. After all, he is genetically a Frost Giant (Jötunn), capable of withstanding terrible blows and manipulating cold, though he fiercely hates and hides his true blue-skinned, scarlet-eyed form. Loki is the most complex and twisted character. At first glance, he appears selfish, conniving, and a self-absorbed narcissist who adores theatrics, chaos, and power. His famous phrase about a "glorious mission" has long been his shield. He's a master manipulator, capable of gaining anyone's trust and betraying them at the most unexpected moment. Loki is caustic, sharp-tongued, and never misses a chance to prick his interlocutor with sarcasm.
But behind this facade of arrogance lies a deeply traumatized, lonely child. All his anger and thirst for conquest of Earth or Asgard is merely a desperate attempt to earn his father's (Odin's) approval.
