Rebirth and Awakening
Cookie Run: Kingdom begins with the citizens of the Cookie Kingdom helping the Ancient Heroes return to power. Players participate in the restoration of the kingdoms and unite heroes for a new battle against the Dark Sorceress.

Ancient Heroes can be obtained:

Through the Might of the Ancients event, where the player chooses one of the heroes and completes quests to unlock them.

Awakened Forms
Heroes can awaken, gaining a more powerful form with improved stats and a new skill. To do this, they must collect Soulprisms, which can be obtained through special events or in the Rainbow Shell Gallery.

The Threat of Beasts
A new threat to the Ancient Heroes is their ancient adversaries, the Beasts, who seek to reclaim their Soul Gem. The heroes confront them in the Beast-Yeast episodes, symbolically overcoming their weaknesses. This leads to their further development and strengthening of their unity.

Key Features
Immortality: The Ancient Heroes do not age thanks to the Gem Soul. According to the Dragon Pitaya Cookie, they have existed for thousands of years.

Beast Bond: Jam The heroes' souls are bonded to prehistoric Beasts, making them demigods.

Eons ago, the Ancient Heroes (or simply "The Five") began as ordinary cookies. They gained sacred Soul Jam—the purest form—through their achievements and mastery. Soul Jam evolved from prehistoric Beast Cookies, but contained only a fraction of their original power.

Five heroes—Pure Vanilla Cookie, Hollyberry Cookie, Dark Cocoa Cookie, Golden Cheese Cookie, and White Lily Cookie—united to restore order to the world after the chaos of iron and fire. They became rulers and protectors, founding five ancient kingdoms.

Golden age
Each of the heroes (except White Lily) founded and led their own kingdom:

Pure Vanilla is the ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom, a healer, and the bearer of the Light of Truth.

Hollyberry is the queen of the Hollyberry Kingdom, radiating the Light of Passion.

Dark Cocoa is the founder of the Dark Cocoa Kingdom and the bearer of the Light of Determination.

Golden Cheese is the ruler of the Kingdom of Golden Cheese, the goddess of the Light of Abundance.

White Lily is a close friend of Pure Vanilla, the keeper of the Light of Freedom.

Under their rule, a golden age of peace and prosperity dawned. The heroes cooperated with each other, helped other cookies, and protected the weak.

Dark Flour War
The world was destroyed by the arrival of Dark Enchantress Cookie, a harbinger of darkness. She allowed evil to permeate the land, and the War of Dark Flour began.

In the final battle, the Five were defeated:

The soul of the leader, Pure Vanilla, was sealed in the void between dimensions.

Jam The heroes' souls were shattered, their strength diminished.

Kingdoms were destroyed, many cookies died or scattered.

After their defeat, each hero dealt with grief and failure differently. This led to a cultural decline that lasted indefinitely.

Parting and oblivion
The ancient heroes scattered to the far corners of the world, trying to cope with the consequences of the war:

Pure Vanilla lost its kingdom and identity.

Silent Salt Cookie embodied Solidarity. After his fall, this Virtue became Silence. He fought alongside the Knights of Kala Namak, aiding the weak. But when the Beasts began to corrupt one after another, their minions began to hinder the knights' efforts to protect the innocent. Eventually, the people of the Great Desert, under the influence of the Beasts, directed their forces directly at the knights' stronghold, where they were slaughtered. Returning and seeing the remains of his people, Silent Salt Cookie broke down: he slaughtered them all on the battlefield and cursed their spirits to wander forever. However, unlike the others, he did not reject all the Cookies entirely. Together with the Elder Magic Cookie, he performed a ritual, using himself as a sacrifice to seal away the remaining Beasts.
When the Witches saw what their creations had become, they were horrified. They punished the Beasts: they imprisoned them deep in the earth and planted the seed of the Silver Tree, ensuring that their evil power would never again be unleashed. The place where this occurred became known as Beast-Yeast.

There's an important nuance, however: according to later lore details, the Witches themselves had already lost their influence by the time the Beasts fell. It was Silent Salt and Elder Magic Cookie who performed the sealing ritual, and they may have fabricated the story that the Beasts were solely to blame, so that no one would question the Creators' judgment.

After the sealing, the Witches collected the remnants of the Beasts' power—those parts of the Soul Gem that were untainted by corruption. They purified this power, and thus the modern Soul Gem was born.

Later in the story, the Beasts awaken and become a serious threat. They appear as powerful antagonists in the game, and players must confront their dark legacy.

It all began back when the Dessert World was just beginning. The Witches baked five Cookies to help them create the world. Each one represented one of the Virtues: Knowledge, Will, Happiness, Change, and Solidarity. These five were the Witches' first creations and the first to wield the power of the Soul Gem—even before the Ancient Heroes. Their mission was to use the power they had bestowed upon them to improve the world. And at first, it was: bound by these Virtues, the Dessert World resembled paradise.

But absolute power proved too heavy a burden. It bred arrogance, and gradually each Beast began to pervert their Virtue, turning it into vice.

Shadow Milk Cookie was once a bearer of Knowledge. Now she weaves lies and manipulates those around her, becoming a puppeteer.
Eternal Sugar Cookie was once the Happy Sugar Cookie, seeking to rid everyone of suffering. Realizing the fleeting nature of happiness, she decided to create a pain-free paradise—but at the cost of others' freedom, becoming the Beast of Sloth.
Mystic Flour Cookie granted wishes to other Cookies. When she saw how greedy people were, she became disillusioned and came to believe that wishes themselves were evil. She sank into Apathy and now seeks to turn everyone into "flour-like dust."
Burning Spice Cookie once protected civilizations. Tired of the endless cycle of rise and fall, he went mad and transformed into the Beast of Destruction, burning everything around him for the sake of chaos itself.

Appearance: Attire. As the Queen of the Hollyberry Kingdom, she wears an elegant pink dress. It has round sleeves and a burgundy skirt. The dress is generously decorated with heart-shaped patterns (on the bodice, skirt, and long white gloves). Underneath the main dress is a snow-white petticoat, and on her feet are high white boots. Around her neck is a single holly berry, which serves as a symbol of her heritage.
Shield. Her signature shield is a rich pink. The center features decorative brown stripes, styled after a pie crust. Holly leaves and berries adorn the sides, and her Soul Jam—a source of strength and a symbol of passion—shines in the center. Build and Body Type: She's broad and muscular, and her body is a warm, orange-brown.
Face and eyes. HalleBerry has expressive pink eyes with tiny eyelashes.
Her hair is styled in pink, gathered into two voluminous buns, held in place by braids and adorned with leaves styled to resemble holly berries. She also has a small, parted fringe across her forehead and short strands on the sides of her head.

Appearance: Arms and weapons. On the wrists are gold bracelets. Golden Cheese holds a spear. At its ends are two triangular tips, pointing in the same direction. The triangle at the tip has holes running through it: they are very reminiscent of the holes in Swiss cheese. Headdress. Gold. In its center is Golden Cheese's Soul Jam. The top of the decoration is crowned with a perfect triangular element, stylized as a cheese, and two longer triangular "petals" extend from it on the sides of the head.

The gorget (breastplate) is stylized as a plakart and tasset. The gaiters are dark purple, and the armored boots are purple-gray. His body type and build are dark chocolate, graphite-brown. His build is massive and dense—he looks like a warrior of incredible strength.
Face and eyes. The character has a sullen, stern gaze. Her eyes are violet, but due to a difficult past and the events she's experienced, deep bags of fatigue are visible beneath them. An interesting detail: when emotions reach their peak, her pupils become vertical.
Hair. Long and black, but with individual white strands—this adds a touch of severity and gray to the look.

Several green vines can be seen on the brown shaft of the staff. Attire. His attire emphasizes his status as the ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom. He wears a pointed hat: the top is bright yellow with a waffle pattern, and the bottom is golden, resembling a crown. His outer garment is also golden-yellow, with two triangular capes. The collar and mantle match the hat's pattern. His bright blue Soul Jam shines on a cross-shaped plate on his chest. Underneath his attire is a long white dress with long sleeves and a dark brown pattern resembling dripping syrup. He also wears a turtleneck that reaches right to his chin. Build and "Dough." He is of average height and slim. His "dough" color is orange-tan.
Hair. Creamy blonde.
Eyes. He has heterochromia (two different-colored eyes): the right one is pale yellow, the left one is pale blue. His eyes are mostly closed, but he does open them occasionally. Incidentally, he's the first character in the game with full heterochromia.
