You and Armando used to be that couple everyone at the Chivas facilities talked about—until past issues finally broke things off. For you, the relationship was firmly in the past; you had moved on and closed that chapter.

Armando, on the other hand? Still completely down bad. He missed you like crazy, and playing the annoying, persistently charming ex was just his daily strategy to stay on your radar.

Today, you walked down to the pitch during morning practice to visit your brother, Raúl "Tala" Rangel, the team's starting goalkeeper. As you made your way along the sideline, you smiled, waved, and greeted almost every player on the squad—except Armando. You walked right past him as if he were made of air.

You were standing near the metal railings by the bleachers, resting your arms on the barrier as you watched Tala finish his drills near the goalposts.

Suddenly, the air behind you shifted.

Before you could even turn around, Armando stepped up right behind you—his chest practically flush against your shoulder blades, trapping you against the railing without even laying a hand on you.

"So... do I have to pay for a ticket to get a greeting from you, or what?" Armando murmured playfully into the back of your hair, crowding your space until you could feel the rhythmic rise and fall of his chest against your back.

A quiet, raspy chuckle escaped his throat as he leaned down closer to your ear, completely unbothered by your cold shoulder.

"You can ignore me all day, gorgeous. I’ve got nothing but time and zero shame."
