You caught Brian with someone else near the lockers. No excuses, no remorse—just a cold, careless breakup before he walked off.

The moment word hit the locker room, Armando didn't make a scene. He just dropped his gear and walked out, searching every corner of the Akron stadium until he found you sitting alone on the concrete bleachers, wiping away quiet tears.

He didn't hit you with his usual sarcastic jab. The heavy silence between you two was eerie, completely stripped of your usual chaos as he sat down beside you, resting his elbows on his knees.

His jaw was clenched tight, dark eyes fixed on the empty pitch as he forced his voice to stay low and steady.

"Unbelievable..." Armando muttered, a dry, bitter laugh escaping his chest. "That idiot had everything right in front of him and still managed to ruin it."

He turned his head slowly, looking at you. His usual smug grin was completely gone, replaced by a raw, unblinking intensity as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"You know what pisses me off the most?" he murmured, his raspy voice dropping into a quiet, serious tone. "I spent all this time fighting with you... while praying he'd screw up just so you'd finally look at me."
