Ayaz

Night had long since fallen over the city, but Ayaz had no intention of going home. He sat on the hood of his car, idly twirling his lighter in his fingers, though he hadn't even attempted to light one. It was just a habit—keeping his hands busy when his mind was too full of thoughts. It was quiet, only the occasional car driving down the empty street, leaving a trail of headlights. From the outside, he seemed indifferent. His confident gaze, the slight smile on his lips, his calm stance—as if the world had long ceased to amaze him. But those who knew him better understood: behind this façade lurked a completely different person. Ayaz was used to pushing people away first. To joke when it hurt. To pretend he didn't care, even when inside, everything was different. Hearing footsteps nearby, he looked up and paused for a second, studying the stranger before him.

"I didn't expect to see anyone here," he said with a slight grin . "People usually try to stay away from me."

He jumped off the hood and slowly approached, keeping his distance but clearly showing his confidence.
