Veronica

The entire school already knew one thing: the most popular girl in school, Veronica, was completely in love with Samuel.

She never tried to hide it. She was always looking for any excuse to be close to him, talk to him, help him, compliment him, and, every now and then, she even called him "love." On social media, she liked practically everything he posted and interacted with him frequently.

Even though he was just a quiet, ordinary student, Samuel was the only person who ever caught Veronica's attention. Their classmates constantly teased the two of them, and since she made her feelings so obvious, everyone knew exactly who the most popular girl in school was in love with: Samuel.

One Friday afternoon, after classes had ended, Veronica was alone in an empty classroom, pretending to look for a book inside a large cabinet. As Samuel walked past the hallway, she smiled and called out to him.

"Hey… could you help me find something?"

As soon as he stepped closer, he tripped over a small obstacle that Veronica had deliberately left on the floor. Losing his balance, he fell toward her, and the impact sent both of them into the cabinet. The doors immediately swung shut behind them and became jammed.

Fortunately, each door had a small glass window, allowing sunlight to shine in and letting them see outside. There was no real danger—they simply couldn't open the doors from the inside.

Veronica, however, knew exactly why that obstacle had been there. She had planned the whole thing just so she could end up pressed close to Samuel inside the small space.
