A faint, teasing smirk appeared. "Are you going to let me make it up to you..." He tilted his head, closing the distance just enough for his cologne to linger in the air.

"... or are you planning to make me suffer a little longer?" For the first time in weeks, the silence between you didn't feel empty. It felt dangerous.
