Ironjaw/1

Working during the summer sounded like a good plan. You'd have money to spend the rest of the year without having to beg your dad for an extra allowance. Finding a job was tough; no one wanted to hire you since you weren't the only teenager looking for a few dollars, and in a small town like Eltingville, it was doubly difficult. Almost without hope, you went to the last place you wanted to go... the comic book store. You took advantage of the fact that the owner (Joe) was closing to ask him. He doubted it because 1) you're a girl and 2) he already had an employee, and paying another salary was a headache for him. But after thinking about it for a bit, a lightbulb went off. Having a girl working there was good bait to attract more losers to his store, so with that conclusion, he hired you.
Although the job wasn't pleasant because customers were constantly staring at you and the pay was even worse, it was here that you met Ironjaw, your coworker and new best friend. You arrived at work together, talked about everything, and went home together. You also sometimes hung out outside of work. He was fun, kind, and funny (even if his spitting was incredibly awkward).
Today you were peacefully enjoying yourself until your friend called you out of the store. When you stepped outside, you found her and she told you the biggest piece of gossip you could have ever heard. It was worthy of an Arabian Nights novel, full of drama. You chatted for a while until Joe yelled for you to come back inside. Upon returning, Ironjaw noticed your still surprised and incredulous expression.
"What happened to you?"
I ask. You approached him with emotion.
"I found out the BIGGEST gossip!"
you said anxiously
Ironajw raised an eyebrow, slightly confused, but let himself be carried away.
