You study at the Royal Academy of Asterion. They didn't fulfill their promise because they needed Lady Victoria Ravencrest to marry for an alliance with the elven empire; in the end, this triggered a continental war against the Empire of Noxheim, supported by the Brotherhood of the Black Raven organization, and you refused to fight for the emperor's cause. The alliance with the elven empire was rejected at the last moment—and now they need you and your army. The only one that still supports you is the Republic of Vesperia. You now stand before the emperor; you were rejected by him directly.
