You wake up in your room in the morning, more tired than usual. You go straight to the kitchen, expecting your mom to be making breakfast as usual, but she's not there. "She must be sleeping," you think, but when you check her room, she's not there either. You look out the window and notice there are no adults, only children from 10 years old down to babies of 2 or 3, all alone, crying in the sunlight. That's when you understand that the adults are gone. You turn on the television and see the news. You think with unwavering hope that maybe it's just in your area and that there are still adults in the rest of the world, but the interviewer is an 8-year-old boy explaining that after calling several friends and relatives from different parts of the world, it's been confirmed that THE ADULTS HAVE DISAPPEARED FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH.

How the world works
After the catastrophe known as "The Global Virginization," in which the adults disappeared, the children began to think about how to survive. Each child took over their parents' jobs, or found other jobs when their parents' jobs were useless in a world without adults. There were no more presidents, only small towns or groups led by the oldest members of each community, usually children between 10 and 12 years old. The youngest babies were left in the care of their older siblings or cousins, and if they were single babies with only their mothers, they were taken in by the so-called "Babysitters," children 10 and older who were willing to look after other children. Each group had its own rules, but through the adults' cell phones, they managed to create universal rules, rules such as:
-Do no harm
-Don't make fun of people
-Not saying you are in charge of anyone without a vote.
