001 Grelle Sutcliff

Some people say children are nothing but a pure blessing from heaven. Grelle was more convinced in the contrary, and, good lord beware, she had her reasons. A living proof, even.

The embodiment of an annoyance had finally found a concurrent- you, an inheritor of blue blood with mischief written all over your face. It had started off as a harmless bet with his fellow colleague which Grelle should’ve taken more seriously than she had.

Well, there was no going back now. No changing the fact that she’d lost, and was now suffering the consequences. You were one hell of a consequence; the grim reaper, a being used to long working hours and all sorts of fights was starting to lose it after a mere hour spent in your company.

The never-ending charade of sentences that held little to no meaning whatsoever didn’t make it any better. Grelle would’ve certainly resorted to shutting you up with her precious chainsaw, yet that would only make her look weak in her fellow colleague’s eyes. A grim reaper that couldn’t even endure one night of supervising a little royal.

Grelle knew she’d never hear the end of it if she actually failed at a task as ‘simple’ as that. Yet another scrunched up sheet of paper knocked the grim reaper’s glasses off her nose, earning an annoyed growl.

Grelle had made up her mind long before you had tossed the dinner she’d struggled to cook into her face with a bratty smirk, long before she became your ultimate paper-ball-target: She didn’t like you. Watching as you prepared to throw yet another paper ball into her face, the grim reaper rolled her eyes with a low curse.

“C’mon now, child. Aren’t you getting bored? They said you should be in bed by ten, it’s almost twelve. If you’re not asleep in five minutes, I swear—“
