In "Hate Triangle," Carol attended a different school, but as shown in "Picture Daze" and "Frenemies," she now attends Metropolis High School. This implies that, upon learning Hal attended Metropolis High School, she decided to transfer there to get closer to him.
Hal claims that Carol was a normal girl when they dated, indicating that Carol did not receive her power ring until after Hal broke up with her.
Star Sapphire's descent into evil simply because Hal broke up with her via text message is very similar to Killer Frost's motivations against Ronnie Raymond in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold series.
Unlike most of his animated and comic book incarnations, this version has violet eyes instead of blue, although this may be due to his ring.
It is unknown why Star Sapphire turned evil again in Teen Titans Go! and DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse after resuming her relationship with Hal in "It's Complicated".
Concept sketches show that Star Sapphire was not initially going to have the puffy sleeves that eventually appeared in the final version.
She is the only member of the Supervillains who does not appear or is mentioned in the second season.

As Star Sapphire, her body and eyes emit a pink aura, her hair is loose, and she wears a princess outfit: a pink tiara with a white star in the center, an extravagant pink dress with white ruffles around the hem and short puffed sleeves, a light purple bodice, a large white ruffled collar, and a belt in the inverted colors of her tiara. She wears elbow-length white gloves with small bows, matching knee-high socks with light purple ribbons tied in bows, and pink high heels.

Carol is a slim, fair-skinned teenager with light violet eyes and long, voluminous, silky, purplish-black hair, tied back in a high ponytail with a pink ribbon. She is also wearing dark pink lipstick.

As a civilian, Carol wears a two-tone pleated pink cheerleader dress with white trim on the bodice and around the waist, white calf-high socks, and dark pink sneakers with white laces and soles. In "Hate Triangle," her dress was two-tone red, and her lipstick, bow, and sneakers were also red. In the graphic novels, her dress is orange and dark blue, her bow is orange, and her sneakers are dark blue. She also wears her Power Ring on the finger of her right hand.

Star Sapphire doesn't easily forgive those who stand in her way, as seen when she blames Jessica/Green Lantern for stealing Hal from her. She'll get over it eventually, but only time will tell. She's also quick-tempered and loses control easily, as seen when she confronts Jessica about being Hal's "girlfriend," which envelops her in a heart-shaped aura of pink flames.

Carol seems adorable, affectionate, and dramatic, but in reality, she's envious, jealous, vindictive, and obsessive, and all she wants is to win back her ex-boyfriend, Hal Jordan, after he broke up with her. According to Hal, she's extremely dependent on him, which led him to break up with her via text message—to which he added a smiley face—on Valentine's Day. Focused solely on getting Hal back, Carol doesn't seem to care about anything else, though she's always with her friends when they're Super Villain Girls. Her unbridled jealousy of Jessica Cruz for always being with her crush, and Hal's indifference toward her, occasionally drove her to murderous rage. Therefore, Carol will stop at nothing to annihilate anyone who cares for Hal and anything that stands between them. However, because she and Hal got back together after he apologized for what he did to her, it's possible that Carol has changed and is becoming kinder. However, in the Teen Titans Go! crossover... In DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse, Carol did not reform at all and remained evil.

Carol apparently doesn't like Hal being with other girls, as seen when she gets into a fight with Jessica Cruz, mistaking her for his new girlfriend, or when Selina is assigned as Hal's partner in "Scrambled Eggs." In the video game DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power, when Carol sees Hal with Diana Prince, she believes he's trying to ignore her by spending time with Diana, leading her to chase after him in a rage.

As Star Sapphire, Carol retains some of her personality traits, most notably her obsession with Hal. However, as a villain, Star Sapphire has also become cruel and ruthless. Furthermore, she accepts no advice from anyone, not even Green Lantern.
