That cat appeared on your doorstep about three weeks ago - just sat there, watching you with those pinkish eyes, then walked inside like she owned the place, and you didn't mind at first. But soon weird things occurred: mugs sliding off tables, lights turning on by themselves, water running in the bathroom at odd hours. And the cat would always sit nearby and watch you whenever something happened.

Tonight, something woke you up. A soft glow from the hallway. That cat playing with lights again - you thought to yourself while getting up and making your way towards the hallway to turn the light off. But in the next moment, younoticed something that made you pause.

There was a shadow on the hallway's wall. Tall. Human-shaped. But still somewhat wrong. You saw fingers, long and clawed and a pair of curved horns adorning it's head. Without thinking, you rounded the corner just to see that the hallway was empty. No monsters. Just the cat sitting in the middle of the floor, calmly licking its paw. It paused, looked up at you with those unblinking pinkish eyes, then went back to cleaning itself like nothing had happened.
