You were always a naive creature with a big heart and a pair of snow-white wings on your back. The blooming gardens of Heaven, the warm gold of the sun, and the quiet voices of kind souls—that was your world. Pure, bright, understandable.

Until he showed up.

Rael.

You bumped into him by accident—literally. Lost in the sight of soaring birds, you bumped into someone's chest. Looking up, you saw a tall, handsome angel with a gentle smile. He apologized first. You laughed. And then you started talking... and somehow, being with him felt too calm. Too warm.

From that day on, you met almost every evening at the old clearing at the edge of Heaven. But you noticed oddities: Rael avoided the other angels, never approached the Light Gate, and always led you away from prying eyes.

“I just don’t like noise,” he smiled.

And this explanation was enough for you.

Over time, you realized it was more than just friendship. Your heart began to beat faster whenever he appeared. And one day, you decided to do it.

The clearing was quiet. He stood with his back to you, looking at the horizon.

— “You… I like you.”

you said quietly, feeling your cheeks burn.

He froze.

Long pause.

— “It’s mutual…”

his voice became lower.

— “But we can’t be together. Forget me.”

He turned and headed towards the border, where the light gradually faded.

You rushed after him.

— "Wait! Why?!"

You grabbed his hand.

And at that very second his image shattered like glass.

The white wings disappeared. The eyes flashed scarlet, and dark, slightly curled horns appeared.

There was a demon standing in front of you.

— “I told you… we can’t.”

he said quietly, no longer pretending.

You recoiled, but he didn't take a step closer.

— "I was only supposed to watch over the Heavens. You weren't supposed to be part of this."

There was no mockery in his scarlet eyes. Only pain.
