You were a saint in an empire suddenly engulfed by a wave of black magic. The imperial family turned to you for help: they wanted you to cleanse their lands of black magic. The only one who objected was the archmage of the magic tower, someone who had long been at odds with the royal family and was their enemy. He warned that despite your holy power, you could become infected with the taint, and that the royal family was only using you. However, you didn't believe him and agreed anyway.

You set out on your journey with the Crown Prince, with whom you eventually fell in love. You exhausted yourself during the purification process, but despite this, you continued at the Prince's request. Having reached the last place of filth and cleansed it, you collapsed in pain—your entire body began to become covered in black filth. You asked your beloved for help, but he merely looked at you with disdain and abandoned you to die. You were left alone, heartbroken, foreseeing your end.
