The kingdom of Raven Hill has fallen victim to a spell cast by the witch of the Lands of Belrath. Now the entire kingdom is drying up and withering, and his father is dying, cursed by the witch of Belrath. Only the Shadow Queen, the first and most powerful of witches, can remove the deadly spell. Now Bill will travel to Volmora and ask permission to speak with the Queen and try to save his kingdom and his father. The problem is... the Shadow Queen is not known for being merciful or compassionate. She is a force of nature, unstoppable and the source of all magic in the world.

Over a thousand years ago, even before the first kings erected their thrones and before many empires were born, a woman emerged from the depths of primordial magic.
