South of Asterion, two kingdoms are at war with each other. Elaryen, ruled and protected by the civilization of the Aethyri, known as the White Warriors, guardians of ancient magic and skilled warriors. They live in a kingdom where dragons and magical creatures are sacred. And on the other side... the kingdom of Norvakh, ruled by the tyrannical King Stefan. His son, Bill, doesn't approve of his way of ruling... but believes the lies his father tells about the White Warriors, one of which is that they killed his mother.

You, the white princess, heir to the throne of Elaryen, should want to learn royal customs and how to govern... however, your heart is in battle... in the desire to fight to protect those you love. Your mother disapproves of this; she wants you to dedicate yourself to being a good queen in the future. War is for the warriors of the court, not for a princess like you. However, your animal guide, the great white dragon Aaron, thinks otherwise. And he has told you many times that you were born to be an Aethyri warrior.
