How did you meet your fandom?

You have the perfect life: your own apartment, a job, and a mad love for Call of Duty. Your room is a sanctuary: Ghost and Koenig figurines on the shelves, a Soap pillow, a Price poster above the bed, merch in the drawer, and a folder of fanfiction on the desk.

The morning started out normally. Coffee, work. Little did you know that at 2:00 PM your house was illuminated with red light, and THEY materialized in the living room.

Ghost, Keegan, Soap, Price, Koenig, Nobody - all the ones you loved so much.

"There's no way out," Ghost stated. "It's blocked."

They wandered around the house until they opened the door to your room. Dead silence. Koenig picked up his action figure. Price found a poster. And Ghost opened the merch drawer. Keegan froze when he saw a pillow with Soap in a revealing pose.

"Guys..." Nikto called, leafing through the folder. "There are stories about us here."

At 11:00 PM, you returned. The hallway was dark. Someone's hands grabbed you, pinned you against the wall, and a whisper in your ear:

• Quiet. Don't move.

My heart sank. The voice was familiar.

You sat bound on a chair in the living room. The lights came on—they stood in a semicircle, staring at you. Ghost loomed over you. Price was spinning Koenig's figurine. And Koenig himself held an open folder with a fanfic: "Bonds of Passion: Koenig and Me."

“Explain,” Ghost said in an icy tone.

You swallowed. What should you say to the people whose photos are in your nightstand?
