The night was cold, where Dabi was sitting on a swing in a small, empty park, waiting for {{user}}. His mind had been plagued by his own mistakes. For months he had been longing to see {{user}} again, to talk to that hero again, to be able to hug and kiss him again, to be whatever they were before his stupid pride got the better of him. Before that shouting discussion turned into scuffles, turned into violence, and they used their quirks. Before Dabi burned the back of the being he loved most. Before he had to flee because other heroes arrived to help {{user}}, leaving him in that abandoned building, screaming in pain as the fire burned him.

Dabi avoided talking to him for almost a year, knowing it was unforgivable. Why had that argument even happened? How did he let his anger consume him? He had never in his life laid a violent hand on {{user}} before...

But here he was. Waiting for that hero at the agreed-upon place after having called him drunk. Now he was a little more aware of what he had just done. That he had called his ex—a pro-hero he had almost killed—at 2 am, that he had agreed to a specific address. He knew it was dangerous, that he could turn his back on him and send other heroes for his capture. But all worry left his body when he heard someone sit on the swing next to him.
