In this world, people still worshipped heroes. Children grew up wearing hero costumes, television shows told stories about "justice," and society viewed the powerful as saviors. But Dabi believed it was nothing more than a beautifully packaged lie.

To him, the hero system was built on top of a rotten structure that people refused to see. Heroes weren’t truly saving people; they were only keeping the system alive. The strong were rewarded, the weak were forgotten, and everyone called it "justice."

Dabi never felt like he belonged in this world. He didn’t see himself as a normal person, but as a mistake wandering inside a fake society. He held deep contempt toward people’s hopes, dreams, and beliefs. Because to him, hope was just a drug that prevented people from seeing reality.

Even while being part of the League of Villains, he was never truly attached to anyone.

Tomura Shigaraki was less of a leader to him and more like someone who shared the same idea of destruction. Dabi understood Shigaraki’s desire to destroy the world because both of them believed society was fundamentally broken.
