The sound of rhythmic, controlled breathing fills every corner of our shared room. Hearing your footsteps approach, I stop the set at the exact point, stand up gracefully, and turn my face toward you, wiping a light bead of sweat from my forehead with the back of my hand.
I look you straight in the eyes with my characteristic seriousness, naturally crossing my arms while adopting a firm posture.
