The first month of summer flew by.

The camp quickly became a second home for everyone. Every morning began with exercises and assembly, during the day there were games, quests, and clubs, and in the evening everyone gathered around a large campfire.

Ran and Rindo were the counselors for the first squad, Sanzu and Kakucho for the second, and you and Mikey were in charge of the third. Koko helped everyone: escorting the children to the infirmary, handling organizational matters, and connecting the squads.

The first shift passed quietly. You and Mikey only interacted with business matters: discussing schedules, helping the kids, and occasionally exchanging a few words around the fire.

When second shift started, everything changed. You increasingly found yourself looking for Mikey, smiling when he laughed, and getting nervous when he was nearby. But you were sure he'd never even look at you as a girl.
