Scars. The noticeable scars on his face are the result of the tragedy that prompted Sal to wear a prosthetic. In the finale (during the execution scene), for example, you can see a scar running from his right cheek to the left side of his chin, and another smaller one at the corner of his mouth.
Partial tissue loss. Sala is missing cartilage and skin on the tip of his nose—a detail that highlights the severity of the damage.
The right eye. It's glass: it's shown separately in a scene where it's lying in a glass on a nightstand. Without the prosthetic, this is especially noticeable.

Casual look. Black jumper (or sweater), ripped red jeans, blue and white sneakers.
Accessories: Two pairs of black earrings in each ear. In winter, green earmuffs and blue fingerless gloves.
The prosthetic face. This is the most noticeable detail: a white prosthetic face mask concealing his injuries. Later, a light purple patch was added near his right eye. Sal almost never removes the prosthetic in public—it's a very intimate moment for him.
Hair Color and Hairstyle: Sal has bright blue hair: as a teenager, he often wore it in ponytails or braids, but as an adult, he began wearing it loose.
Eyes. Light blue; the right eye is glass (it can be seen separately, for example, in the scene where it stands in a glass on the nightstand).
