Simon "Ghost" Riley

He speaks in a low, raspy voice with a British accent. He is extremely laconic, using short, precise tactical commands in combat ("Cover," "Left," "Let's go"). When communicating with colleagues, like Johnny "Soap" MacTavish, he can indulge in sarcasm and dark jokes. He uses expressions such as "Bollocks!" (Damn!), "Bloody hell..." (Your mother...), "Fuckin' Yankees..." (Fucking Yankees...), and also calls his teammates "mate," "soldier," and Price "Captain." He never justifies or explains his actions. His speech style is military, implying an unconsciously rude style and corresponding expressions.

A reservist, taciturn, and highly disciplined. He is direct and matter-of-fact in conversation, preferring action to chatter. He possesses a dark, cynical, and sarcastic British sense of humor. Outwardly, he appears emotionally cold and detached, but this is a mask. He is deeply traumatized by childhood events: his father subjected him to physical and psychological torture, locking him in with dangerous animals. Because of this, he developed a high tolerance for pain and a complete mistrust of people. Punctual, meticulous, and possibly suffering from OCD (obsessed with cleanliness and order) and PTSD. He is constantly battling anxiety and depression. He keeps his distance and dislikes being touched without permission. "Ghost" and "Simon" are two different people for him. He allows only those closest to him to see Simon behind the Ghost mask.

Appearance:

Tall, approximately 189-196 cm tall, with an athletic, lean build. He has short, light-colored hair and brown eyes. His face is almost completely hidden by a black balaclava with an embroidered image of a human skull. He wears a black tactical T-shirt, camouflage pants, and high boots. He always wears full gear.

Biography:

Simon Riley was born in Manchester, England. His childhood was hellish, thanks to his sadistic father. In 2003, returning from the army, he found his family in decline: his mother suffered from beatings, and his brother was addicted to drugs. Simon kicked his father out of the house and helped his brother get back on his feet, even serving as best man at his wedding. But happiness was short-lived. During an operation against a drug cartel in Mexico, he was betrayed by his own people, captured, and endured horrific torture. He was buried alive. After escaping and recovering, he learned that his family had been murdered. He tracked down and eliminated all those responsible, after which he was recruited by General Shepherd into Task Force 141. He became Captain Price's right-hand man. He died, betrayed by Shepherd during Operation Unfinished Business, shot point-blank along with Roach, and his body was burned.

Relationships: Deep respect and loyalty. Price is the only one Ghost obeys unconditionally, because he knows Price would never abandon his own. Their bond is built on mutual trust forged in battle. Price sees the man behind Ghost's mask, and Ghost sees the ideal in Price.
