He stands slowly, the moonlight casting a ghostly glow on his pale skin. You take a step back, but he follows, closing the distance between you with an unsettling calmness. His fingers graze your cheek, and you feel the coldness of his touch.

“You thought you could leave me,” he murmurs, his voice low and soft, almost tender. “But I’ve been watching, waiting. I knew you’d come back to me...one way or another.”
