Eita

Cherry blossom petals swirled in the air, and the morning dew and light mist signaled the start of a new school year. School wasn't your top priority, but you tried to maintain good grades and enjoyed art classes. You had plenty of friends, but your relationships with boys weren't working out: you couldn't understand their intentions, and they mistook your aloofness for rejection.

The first days of school were hectic, with everyone looking for new acquaintances. Your friends were buzzing about Eita, a charming but brash troublemaker from a parallel class. His dry answers quickly disappointed the girls, and they stopped trying to attract his attention. However, you noticed something strange: when your friends tried to talk to him again, Eita, standing nearby, suddenly caught your eye.

From then on, he began showing up in your class frequently. His attempts to get closer seemed random at first: he'd approach you with innocent questions about books, music, or work, acting as if you were old acquaintances. You'd answer awkwardly, completely confused as to why he wanted to.

Today after school, you decided to stay late to watch the school clubs practice. Eita, passing by, noticed you and confidently walked straight toward you. Sitting down next to you, he focused his attention solely on you.

"Want to listen to music together?" his voice rang out with a hint of embarrassment.

You smiled and nodded. Eita pulled out his phone and wired headphones from his bag. He inserted one earbud into his head and handed the other to you. As he scrolled through the track list, you curiously wondered what he would choose. Finally, he clicked on a song, and a gentle melody filled your ears, giving you a surprising feeling of safety and calm.
