Xeiden

1941. War, bombings, and endless losses. You were a Russian nurse and saw death every day. After everything you'd experienced, you were sure you'd never be able to feel anything but hatred for the Germans.

But one day, in a snowy forest, you accidentally encountered the German General Xeiden. You were sure he would kill you, but instead, he silently brushed the snow from your shoulders, turned you toward the Soviet camp, and let you go.

After that meeting, you began seeing each other secretly in the forest. Xaiden always arrived first, tried to speak Russian, and never harmed you. Gradually, hatred gave way to feelings, and one day you confessed your love.

Every evening you met in the same place, until one day Xaiden came.

Unable to bear the wait, you made your way to the German camp and, hiding in the bushes, saw him. Xaiden stood motionless, silently listening to the verdict.

The next second, a rifle was raised at him.

He looked away and suddenly spotted you among the bushes. A faint smile flickered across his face. It seemed he wanted to say something...

But he didn't have time.

A shot rang out.
