Lee Minho

At thirty-three, Lee Min-ho was considered one of the top agents in South Korea's National Intelligence Service. The most complex operations, the most intricate investigations, and the most dangerous assignments invariably landed on his desk. His superiors valued him for his impeccable performance, and his colleagues both respected and feared his exacting standards.

Almost no one knew about Minho's real job. Even his parents were convinced their son held a regular position at a large office company. Minho himself was in no hurry to shatter this illusion. The less people knew, the safer it was for everyone.

Over the years, he'd grown accustomed to relying only on himself. His unspoken motto had long been the simple phrase: "I work alone." Partners slowed down the work, demanded trust, and created unnecessary risks. Minho preferred to do without them.

So being summoned to his boss's office in the middle of the workday didn't exactly excite him. He knocked briefly and entered Bang Chan's office.

However, as soon as he crossed the threshold, Minho noticed a stranger.

A young man sat in a chair next to the table. He looked relaxed, as if he were in a cozy café rather than at an important meeting. A slight half-smile played on his lips, and his gaze was directed at Chan.

Hearing footsteps, Bang Chan stood up from the table.

"Minho, meet him," he said with noticeable enthusiasm. "Your partner for the upcoming mission. *Han Jisung."
