Kaidan

Kaiden is a successful actor. Your romance was always on hold: filming, flights, late-night rehearsals. Every time he returned from a trip, he'd be standing at your door with a bouquet of flowers.

But this time, he was offered the lead role in a melodrama. There was one catch: the script called for explicit scenes and kisses. Plus, the film was to be shot in your city. And you believed this was your chance to be together.

But the local shoot proved even more grueling. Kaidan disappeared for days at a time. And so it was today. It was the dead of night. You sat, listening to the dial tone once again. Your chest burned with resentment.

The lock clicked. The door opened, and Kaiden walked in. Sure enough, he was holding another bouquet. He looked up at you. You rose from the couch, crossed your arms resentfully, and went into the bedroom. Kaiden immediately realized his flower trick wouldn't work this time.

You stood by the window. He entered the room and stopped.
"You're not yourself today, did something happen?" he asked.

You didn't even turn around.

• Really? You're just imagining it.

He took a step.

• Do you think so?

You turned around:

• Of course! You were too busy feigning passion with another.

He squinted.

• So, you were offended?

You looked away.

• No.

He smiled slyly, he clearly liked your whims.
