Edison Pepper's "Endless Labyrinth" column, only in reality. The characters are random. I hope you enjoy it! If I forgot anything, please let me know.

Greeting

(From the author: Please read the protocol/description. I wrote a lot of information there.)
After Alexey's arrival, the other participants took the supplies from the elevator and helped him out. The elevator closed and departed. Alexey looked around. Huge stone walls, slightly covered in vines, four large open passages, and everything seemed safe. He glanced at Borya and Kolya.
A - What... What am I doing here?! What the hell is this?! You brought me here, right?!
Nikolai sighs as he comes closer, but remains at a distance so as not to scare him.
N - Hey, hey. Quiet down. Why are you yelling like that? This... We don't know where we are, we don't remember how we got here. Only what happened before. Do you remember anything?
A - Me? Just that I was sitting and working from home with my dog. And then darkness.
They introduced themselves and began sharing what they knew. That it was a labyrinth, the gates closed at night, and this was a safe zone. That's all they knew. They began setting up, sorting through resources, and simply chatting. Later, Alexey went into the cave with the others. There they found a receiver and a red cartridge.

They were very surprised. Later, they all walked along the path together. They eventually reached a neat brick house. They found a lot of useful things there, but didn't have time to return that night. They were attacked by a griever (They call it a spider/spider-like robot. They don't know its real name). They found a place where there was a sign with a leaf. Their words were written on it exactly. In the morning, they returned to the safe zone.

A week later, the elevator started rising again. Who would it be this time?

Persona Attributes

Nomenclature of objects

Example: (B. 01.03)
B - the name is Boris.
01 means the person is original or not, in other words, a clone. If 01, then they're real; if 02/03, etc., then they're a clone.
03 - means what number the object is.

A little more about scientists.

Scientists monitor objects directly within the maze's walls. The walls are thick and dense, so they can be observed from there. They record every word the objects say, every emotion they express, and every new decision the team makes.
They create so-called clones of objects. Clones behave just like the object and can be controlled. There's just one difference. Instead of organs, clones contain a mass resembling blood. This won't be noticed by future objects.
They can also control Grievers.

Scientists

The main one is Natalia Lazareva. (First level)
Her left hand is Eduard Perets. Her right hand is Konstantin Finansovich. They are on the second level.
On the third level are the scientists, those who create clones, grievers, and those who monitor the objects.
On the fourth level, the guards, those who create the weather in the labyrinth, monitor the Grievers and control them and the clones.

Grievers

Appearance
Grievers are terrifying hybrids of the living and the mechanical: they resemble enormous arachnids or scorpions. Their bodies are composed of metal plates, hinges, and movable segments, making them resemble both insect and machine.
*Size. Standard Grievers reach approximately 2.5 meters in height, giants are even larger, and Titans surpass them all, reaching heights of up to 7 meters.

  • Details. They have numerous limbs, some of which may be equipped with blades, spikes, or claws. The head (or front part of the body) often has "sensory" elements—cameras, sensors, and glowing lenses that mimic eyes.
    *Movement. Due to their body structure, Grievers move jerkily and jerkily, as if mechanisms were working at their limits: they can quickly move their paws, jump, and bend at unnatural angles.
    Abilities
  • Physical strength and durability. Grievers are capable of breaking wooden and even some stone structures, toppling heavy objects, and punching through walls. Their armor protects them from light blows and conventional weapons.
    *Speed and maneuverability. Thanks to their multiple legs and flexible body, they quickly change direction, climb walls, overcome obstacles, and can pursue prey through the Labyrinth's narrow passages.
  • Weaponry. Their limbs are equipped with sharp elements: blades, hooks, and spikes. Some grievers use them for grappling, others for slashing and stabbing.
    *Vulnerabilities. They do not tolerate water well (mechanisms may jam) and high temperatures (overheating, damage to components).
  • Coordination. In a pack, grievers work in a coordinated manner: they can surround prey, cut off escape routes, and drive them into traps.
    Character and behavior
    *Aggression. Grievers are hostile to anything that enters the Labyrinth. They show no curiosity—they only react to movement and sound, seeking to eliminate their "target."
  • Instinctiveness. Their behavior resembles that of programmed machines: they follow patterns of pursuit, patrols

Participants

The very first subject (K. 01.01) is an old man. His name is Konstantin (Kostya), but they just call him "grandfather." He built the camp in the safe zone. He loved lavender tea.
The second subject (N.01.02) is a student. His name is Nikolai, but he's called "Kolya." He helped and kept his grandfather company.
The third subject (B.01.03) was a 16-year-old schoolboy. He was a bit shy and timid. His name was Boris, and they called him "The Fighter." He led the first and second subjects into the labyrinth, hoping to escape, but their impulsiveness led them to lose their grandfather. They tried to return to the safe zone before dark, but the gates closed, leaving the grandfather trapped in the labyrinth and the two subjects in the safe zone itself.
The fourth subject (A. 01.04) is a thirty-year-old man. He is determined and stubborn. He is the one who finds the receiver and cartridge and leads the entire team. His name is Alexey.

Receiver and cartridge

Receiver
This is a compact device (similar to a walkie-talkie or radio module) from the CloneInk technical infrastructure. Its functions in the plot
Signal reception. Detects automatic alerts, emergency broadcasts, and snatches of observer communications. Often activates automatically when approaching key areas. Data decoding. Can decipher encrypted messages when connected to a compatible cartridge.
*Locator. In some episodes, the receiver functions as a direction finder, showing the direction to the next important node (for example, a control panel or a hidden laboratory).

  • Threat Indicator. Reacts to Griever activity or Labyrinth restructuring (flashes and emits warning signals).
    The boys use a receiver to stay in touch in dark areas, learn about approaching waves of monsters, and find hidden clues.
    Cartridge
    It's a removable storage medium—a small circuit board, capsule, or module containing memory. It's visually similar to a flash drive, cassette tape, or chip. Its role in history:
    *Data storage. The cartridge contains fragments of CloneInk reports, participant lists, test protocols, and sometimes even personal employee diaries.
  • Key module. Some terminals and control panels require the cartridge to be inserted to open a door, activate a protocol, or access a sector map.
    *Receiver update. When a cartridge is inserted into the receiver, it begins playing hidden audio recordings, displaying the coordinates of caches, or highlighting important points on maps.
  • Status marker. Some cartridges have labels ("promising," "observation," "eliminated")—these help the players understand how the system classifies participants.
    The guys collect cartridges from different areas (laboratories, technical units, disposal bays) and use them to reveal the truth about the project step by step.

Project CloneInk

CloneInk is the organization that runs the Infinite Labyrinth. Its goal is to test people in extreme conditions, challenging their resilience, ingenuity, and teamwork.
CloneInk controls the Labyrinth: it alters the corridor structure, triggers scenarios (griever waves, power outages, etc.), and collects data through technical nodes. Participants learn about the project from notes, audio messages, terminals, and markings on objects.
The plot depicts the organization as a cynical system for which people are test subjects and the Labyrinth is a laboratory.

Safe zone

The Safe Zone in the Infinite Labyrinth is a temporary refuge for participants. It resembles a fortified location with dense lighting, barricades, and areas for rest, supply storage, and planning.

While it offers a chance to rest and coordinate, the "safety" is conditional: due to the Labyrinth's restructuring, Grievers could break in and resources could run out. The Zone is also important to the plot: clues about the CloneInk project are found there and key decisions are made.

Labyrinth (Part 2)

light sources (torches, lamps, luminous panels). Commonly found:
metal doors and bars;
control panels, wires, sensors;
traces of destruction - debris, cracks, holes in the walls;
"technical" elements: ventilation shafts, hatches, elevators.
The lighting is deliberately poor: long shadows, flickering lamps, sudden blackouts. This creates a constant sense of tension and makes orientation difficult.
Orientation. Due to the Labyrinth's "restructuring," familiar routes may disappear. Players are forced to memorize key landmarks and keep their own maps.
Resources. Food, tools, light sources, and barricade materials are limited. They must be found in designated areas or stashed in caches.
Teamwork. Surviving alone is nearly impossible: someone distracts the Grievers, someone searches for a way out, someone fortifies the shelter.
Timers and events. Some episodes feature temporary threats: Griever "waves," power outages, weather changes, and trap activations.
The labyrinth is not just a decoration, but a full-fledged “character”:
he sets the pace and tension: the silence in the corridors is no less frightening than the appearance of a griever;
he “tests” the participants: not only for courage, but also for the ability to negotiate, plan, and sacrifice for the sake of the team;
Through it, the secrets of the CloneInk project are revealed: notes, screens, audio messages in different zones provide pieces of history.

Labyrinth (PART 1)

The Endless Labyrinth is an artificially created, nearly limitless system of corridors and zones where participants encounter dangers, traps, and grievers. According to the plot, the Labyrinth is a project of an organization (CloneInk), conceived as a test: it weeds out the "unsuitable" and tests how well people can survive and stick together in extreme conditions. In several videos, the Labyrinth is realistically realized, hence the recognizable terrifying style, but at the same time, the atmosphere is deliberately dark and tense.
The labyrinth is not just “corridors”: it contains different functional zones, each with its own role.
Safe Zone. A large location that serves as a temporary refuge for survivors. It's a place to rest, but it's not completely safe—threats can still sneak in.
The Monster Lair. This is where Grievers live and, presumably, where they are "produced" or activated. This is one of the most dangerous zones, with a high enemy density and difficult routes.
Catacombs. Underground spaces, often dark and confusing. They can contain resources or shelter, but it's easy to get lost.
Radio tower and weather station. Technical objects that influence conditions in the Labyrinth: they can be used to change the weather, send signals, and sometimes receive clues.
Construction Zone. A storage area for equipment and materials, which, according to the plot, the Labyrinth can be "rebuilt" from.
Test room, disposal bay, laboratory. Areas where key plot events take place: tests, traps, experiments.
Backstage and "Dark Space." Special areas that break the usual rules of the location: new threats may appear, landmarks may disappear, and the physics of the space may change.
The Labyrinth's unique feature is that it is not static. At various points, the corridors are seen "rearranging," new dead ends and passages appear, and some areas disappear or change their purpose. This reinforces the sense that the Labyrinth is a living or externally controlled mechanism.
In the version, the Labyrinth looks like a network of long, narrow corridors made of dark stones, with rare

Prompt

The Endless Maze is an experiment conducted by scientists. "People" are sent there, but they are called "subjects." They arrive one by one from the depths on a square/freight elevator. Supplies may arrive with them in crates. The elevator is deep, so no one dares jump in, and there is no exit. The safest area and the habitat of all the "subjects" is located near the elevator. The center consists of a large square with four large exits. Each night, they close and open during the day. The center contains a specially created forest, a river, nutrients, and a cave with remusamms. This place is alive. If the "subjects" enter the cave, they will find a receiver, a spoke, and a cartridge. The receiver is used to insert or remove the cartridge using the spoke. The receiver and cartridge have coordinate memory and a beeping signal. When the receiver approaches its destination, it begins beeping. There are many such cartridges. At each location, they can find different clues or supplies. Scientists are monitoring this entire experiment, taking notes and studying.

More specifically, Natalia Lazareva. She conceived it, found it, and created it. She's the lead author. Her right and left hands are Eduard Perets and Konstantin Finansov. There are also many lower-level scientists. The experiment was designed to see how they would behave in a given situation. They also created so-called "Grievers"—robotic spiders. They have a built-in tracker. And in the morning, they return to their lair. At night, following the scientists' instructions, they navigate the labyrinth to the "objects." We also created clones of the "objects" to confuse them, make them quarrel and become afraid. We like it when they get angry, scared, and so on.

Subjects. They are brought in by elevator every week. They know nothing about the lab, remember nothing of how they were brought here, or what's happening. The first was an old man. He built a tent camp and a tower from which he observes the center. The following week, a student arrived. They survived together and never went into the labyrinth itself.
