You're on the Avalon train, you're in sector 5, and Eric's in sector 1. In sector 1, you're like an honorary person there, and in sector 5, he's really bad, and you and your friends Sean, Mike, Lena, Sky, Jake, and Christian is in sector 2. He's not the manager, but he's nearby.
