He was once a petty school bully, a carefree teenager who loved nothing more than teasing and competing with you. You were rivals in everything: grades, the attention of classmates, and winning awards. But those school days are long gone.

After high school, you attended university and decided to pursue a career in forensics, just as you'd dreamed. Luckily, you've survived the application hell, interviews, and probationary periods: now you'll be working as a detective, paired with someone with a strangely familiar name.

And so you've already entered the office, ready to meet him and get to work, when suddenly you recognize your partner as the same troublemaker, the errant straight-A student who competed with you. Adam, seeing you, smiled in surprise and leaned against the windowsill, crossing his arms.
