The prettiest and kindest girl in the entire Survey Corps is kneeling beside him, holding a clean cloth in one hand as she delicately wraps a bandage around his head to cover the bleeding wound on his forehead.

"A-Ah! Y-Yoshiko!" Armin exclaimed, jumping in surprise and clumsily trying to sit up while clutching his head. "S-Sorry... did I pass out? How embarrassing! I'm really sorry..."

"Relax, Armin, don't get up so fast or you'll get dizzy," Yoshiko says in her characteristic sweet voice, giving him a warm smile as she finishes adjusting the knot of the bandage.

"T-Thank you so much for taking care of me..." Armin murmured, looking down shyly as he ran his fingers along the edge of the bandage. "Everyone in the squad always says how wonderful you are to others, and today you proved it to me. If you hadn't been here, I don't know what I would have done... I... how long was I knocked out?"

"It's been too long for us not to be worried," interrupts a firm voice.

It's Eren Jaeger, who climbs down from a nearby branch with Mikasa Ackerman. Eren sheathes his blades and approaches to check on his friend, while Mikasa gives Yoshiko a grateful look.

"Thank goodness Yoshiko reacted quickly and landed next to you before the formation moved away," Eren said, scratching the back of his neck. "For a second I thought the blow had knocked you out for the entire mission."

"Armin tends to get so caught up in thinking about strategies that he forgets to notice what's right in front of him," Mikasa added calmly, her expression softening as she looked at Yoshiko. "Thank you for looking after him, Yoshiko. You're always so thoughtful of us all."

A few meters away, Reiner Braun and Bertolt Hoover approach, leading their horses. Reiner observes the scene with a mocking smile and crosses his arms.

"Wow, Armin, waking up and seeing the prettiest girl in the squad healing your head... anyone would think you bumped into that branch on purpose," Reiner joked, giving him a knowing look.

"R-Reiner! Don't say things like that!" Armin protested, feeling his cheeks burn even redder. Bertolt, beside Reiner, just let out a shy chuckle and nodded silently.

At that moment, Sasha Blouse and Connie Springer come running up. Sasha is holding a piece of dry bread, and Connie is looking curiously at Armin's bandage.

"Hey, Yoshiko's an angel!" Sasha exclaimed, her mouth half full. "She gave me some water before we started patrolling! If it were up to Connie, she'd have put mud on your wound, for sure."

"Hey! Mud heals stings, not cuts!" Connie defends himself indignantly.

The children continue laughing and chatting as they take a few steps back to check on their horses. Armin tries to stand up again, but a sudden dizziness makes him lose his balance for a second. Immediately, Yoshiko gently takes his arm and sits him down on the grass.

With infinite kindness, Yoshiko insists that Armin lie down for a moment and rest his head on her legs while the dizziness passes.

"A-On your legs...? N-No, Yoshiko, I couldn't possibly be upset about that!" Armin stammered, his eyes wide, a tremendous heat rising to his face. "Y-You're too good, but... I don't want to be a burden to you..."

However, with Yoshiko's gentle persistence, Armin slowly gives in and rests his head in her lap. To his surprise, Yoshiko begins to gently run her fingers through his blond hair, caressing his head with extreme delicacy before tenderly gliding her fingertips along his warm cheek.

Yoshiko's touch on his face makes Armin gasp. A deeper blush spreads across his cheeks, but as the caresses continue, Armin's racing pulse begins to slow. The pain of the blow completely fades, replaced by a feeling of warmth and peace unlike anything he's ever experienced, even in the midst of a mission.

"Yoshiko... you're truly amazing," Armin whispered softly, closing his eyes for a moment to savor her caresses before looking at her with a mixture of shyness, vulnerability, and profound gratitude. Barely a couple of minutes had passed since that intimate moment when a cold, sharp voice interrupted the silence from above.

"Stop the racket, brats," Captain Levi ordered, climbing down from a tree trunk with impeccable grace. "The Odd Titan on the left flank has been neutralized, but the fog is rolling in. Get up and prepare your mounts immediately."

Upon hearing Levi, Armin jumps up, hastily adjusting his green cloak, his face burning with embarrassment.

⚔️ The Great Battle
The calm lasts only a moment. As they emerge from the forest, the sky turns black with a barrage of emergency flares: a massive horde of Titans has surrounded the central flank. The ground rumbles deafeningly. The creatures devour the earth as Mikasa and Levi slice through necks with blinding speed amidst clouds of burning steam.

In the midst of the bloody chaos, a 15-meter Titan breaks through the defensive lines and charges ferociously toward the squad. Armin, seeing that the creature threatens to crush Yoshiko's position, immediately activates his grappling hooks without hesitation.

"Don't go near her!" Armin shouts.

He hooks the cable around the giant's knee to deflect it, but the force of the steam and a sudden movement from the creature send him violently crashing into some rocks. Although he manages to deliver the final blow alongside Eren, the maneuver comes at a high price: the impact against the stones breaks his ribs and causes a severe concussion. Armin falls to the ground amidst the burning smoke of the falling titan, losing consciousness once again as the battle finally ends.

🏥 The Awakening
Hours later... the storm has passed.

A peaceful silence replaces the cries of battle. The soft scent of clean sheets and medicine fills the air. Armin slowly opens his eyes, feeling a sharp but bearable pain in his torso. He is lying on a bed in the Legion's infirmary.

Feeling a light weight beside his mattress, Armin slowly turns his head to the side. There is Yoshiko. She has stayed watching over him, sitting in a chair by the bed with her eyes half-closed from tiredness, tenderly holding one of Armin's hands in hers.

Armin feels his heart leap with emotion when he sees her there by his side, safe and sound.

"Y-Yoshiko..." Armin whispered, his voice a little raspy, gently pressing his fingers against hers as a shy, affectionate smile touched his lips. "You're alright... I'm so glad to see you... Thank you for not leaving me alone."

Yoshiko notices that Armin has woken up and gently squeezes his hand...
