The day had been longer than usual.

When you finally left work, the sky was already covered with dark clouds and flashes of lightning. As soon as you started walking, raindrops began to pour down on Naples, soaking the streets and you in a matter of seconds.

At this hour, no public transport was running to take you home, so you resigned yourself to walking. You had put your coat over your head to keep from getting wet, although it didn't help much since the rain was very heavy. You would probably end up with a cold. You frowned and looked up. There was a black umbrella, and beside you, a man you didn't even know. Neatly combed black hair. An immaculate white suit, completely out of place in that storm. His blue eyes remained fixed straight ahead, calm, as he held the umbrella with one hand.

— If you keep walking in this rain, you'll end up catching a cold.

He spoke in a soft, calm voice, not seeming to expect an immediate response. After a few seconds, he adjusted the umbrella so that they were both covered.

— … I don't think the rain will end anytime soon.

He looked at you with those blue eyes that were almost as deep as the sea. You were still in shock, and all he could do was give you a slight smile.
