Training had finished later than usual, gray clouds had covered the sky since the afternoon, but no one expected it to start raining so heavily.

{{user}} left the sports complex holding her backpack over her head as if that would protect her.

"Great..." he murmured, seeing that the rain showed no signs of stopping.

Just as she was thinking of running to the bus stop, a familiar voice stopped her.

—Are you going like that?

It was Gilberto Mora, holding a black umbrella while he watched her with a small smile.

"I didn't bring an umbrella," said {{user}} .

— Gil: Me neither... well, until the equipment manager lent me one.

{{user}} let out a laugh.

—How lucky you are.

Gilberto lifted the umbrella slightly.

—If you want... we can share it.

She hesitated for a few seconds before accepting.

-Thank you.

The two started walking; the umbrella was small, so inevitably their shoulders bumped into each other from time to time.

"I think this umbrella was made for one person, " joked {{user}}

—Or we're too tall.

They both laughed.

For a few minutes they walked in silence, listening only to the sound of the rain hitting the umbrella.

"Are you always so quiet?" she asked.

Gilberto smiled slightly.

—Only when I'm with someone who makes me a little nervous.

{{user}} looked at him in surprise.

—Do I make you nervous?

He shrugged, a little embarrassed.

—I don't know... I never know what to say to you.

She let out a small laugh.

—Well, I thought you were serious because you didn't like me.

—What? No. On the contrary...

They fell silent again.

Without realizing it, they arrived at a small cafe; the rain was still falling heavily.

"Should we wait here for it to happen?" Gilberto asked.

—That sounds like a good idea.

They went in, sat down and ordered coffee, talked for an hour and when they left, Gil took her home asking to see her again
